Have used this garage in the past and thought they weren't bad, unfortunately my opinion has changed recently due to a strange experience. I had booked my car in for it's service and the brake pads changing and also asked for an issue to be looked at which involved the car overheating.
The service and brake pads didn't seem to be an issue and I was advised that for looking into the overheating issue they would need to run some diagnostics which would cost £40, okay I said if you could as I need to know what's happening and it needs sorting.
The diagnostics were done and I was advised an issue with my head gasket, really I thought, how's that when the car has been sat for a month. I went to collect my car as they said that it was too big a job for them to do, it would involve them taking a lot of parts out the car (I guess they don't do big jobs?) I had a look at the diagnostic report they did on my car, I thought something was odd when the odometer wasn't correct and they said they just put any number in there (odd I thought), additionally the mechanic wasn't present to advised what all the codes and messages meant. Anyways I paid what I owed and though I was in for a big expensive job on my car that involved a new head gasket and everything that goes with it. The owner did offer for a family member who was an engineer to look into the job and that he would call me back about that although to be honest was feeling a little confused and suspicious at this point so didn't follow that offer up.
After taking my car to a VW specialist, the issue was diagnosed in a morning, a part was ordered for next day and fitted straight away. They found that the diagnosis done by Delta One must have been from another car as they found none of the codes present from their report. Also the suggestion of an issue with or replacement of the head gasket was crazy.
I'm not sure if Delta One just got confused on this occasion or the suggestion of major work on my car was unfounded yet intentional but I won't be using them again.
